Best Western Yuma Mall Hotel & Suites, Yuma

Upon arrival, there was a slight smell of smoke in the supposedly non-smoking room, and it wasn't made up until late afternoon. The room was also overpriced, and I couldn't use points at checkout, which was disappointing. However, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, ensuring the airport shuttle was available for my early morning flight. The location was excellent, with restaurants and shopping within easy reach. The dining options were plentiful but the experience was affected by a small restaurant. Overall, the facilities were satisfactory.

My stay at the hotel was overall pleasant. The location was great with plenty of room and a fantastic pool and jacuzzi; however, the layout was a bit crowded with the bedroom setup. The dining experience was good, especially with fresh-made eggs, but the free breakfast didn't fully impress me. The service was mixed, with some helpful aspects but also a lack of interest in certain requests. The rooms were conveniently equipped with a microwave and fridge, but could use more attention to cleanliness.

Staying in the 'executive suite' was a bit challenging for me with my bad knee due to the stairs, and not being able to use points at checkout was a letdown. Although it was marketed as a studio suite, the overall size was similar to a standard motel room, which felt overpriced.
